Great delivery management is essential to successful consultancy engagements. This important role is responsible for coordinating and liaising with the different parts of our business to ensure the delivery of high quality and well managed consultancy services.

As the Delivery Manager you will play a key role in the liaison with clients and the often complex logistics surrounding the delivery of our services, working with key stakeholders to effectively plan and schedule projects so that our clients receive the highest standard of delivery, as well as ensuring that business targets and objectives can be met

The role will involve supporting both the Offensive and Defensive teams to meet their utilisation targets (for both billable works and non-billable projects) and ensure the sales pipeline is aligned with scheduling availability, whilst ensuring projects are delivered to the high standards which we and our clients expect.

We welcome innovative ideas on how we can work smarter and provide a better experience for our clients. This role is one that requires initiative; you will be making important business decisions on a daily basis and need to be self-motivated to see
projects through to completion. You are required to interface with all JUMPSEC business areas and particularly work in close partnership with the Technical Consultants and the Account Managers.

Job duties:

  • Liaise with clients on upcoming, current and recently completed tactical engagements.
  • Plan and schedule projects to manage client satisfaction, consultant workloads and skills development.
  • Maintain oversight of capacity, utilisation and revenue to be able to report to the business on delivery risks identified, and proactively seek solutions.
  • Work closely with all areas of the business, specifically the consultants and the Account Managers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Interpret and develop procedures to meet client-specific requirements and service delivery procedures.
  • Continually review delivered projects for clients to verify recognised income and ensure invoicing is completed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with business areas to ensure that all internal systems are up to date at all times and accurately reflects the businesses position.
  • Understand the current spread of skills, capabilities, and interests across the team to align the most suitable resources to projects; this can include identifying and facilitating¬† opportunities for consultant shadowing where gaps in the schedule exist to make best use of non-billable time.
  • Have a consistent and strong focus on client and operational success.
  • Ensure sales requests and support are handled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure project prerequisites do not impact on the project start.
  • Acting as a liaison, ensure appropriate communications to clients from the red team have taken place to ensure expectation management prior to all engagements.
  • Work closely with the client to keep them informed of project progress, reporting and resolving issues within the project whilst successfully managing client expectations.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience in a B2B client facing position, for example customer service, events management, client management, client delivery.
  • Confident at making important decisions on a daily basis.
  • Professional approach to all aspects of the role, both internally and with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good project coordination skills, an advanced qualification such as Prince2 or Agile would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to engage with and influence key stakeholders, and mediate conflicting views across teams.
  • Able to identify and resolve issues of potential conflict, both internal and external to the company during the service delivery process and instigate mitigation for future conflicts.
  • Understanding of Information Security and ability to understand the differing requirements of varied service and project types

  • Management of large-scale IT systems with tens of thousands of end users
