The UK Government has worked with several information security industry organisations over the past several months to launch the Cyber Essentials Scheme which aims to set the minimum essential requirements for good information security practices in the following areas:
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- User access control
- Malware protection
- Patch management
This effort is supported by the Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST), of which JUMPSEC is a member. We believe this scheme offers an opportunity to promote and improve information security practices at small and medium-size businesses and are delighted to support it. As a CREST Approved company employing CREST registered and certified specialists we are in position to advise on and assist with meeting the requirements of the Cyber Essentials Scheme.
